At Storytellers, therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens through relationships. Elizabeth Orthmann, LMFT, works closely with both parent and child, helping strengthen their connection and build the skills needed to reach shared goals.
Many parents seek support for their infant or toddler due to behavioral or attachment concerns. Elizabeth approaches these challenges with compassion and a strength-based mindset, using a blend of play and attachment-focused strategies to support growth and connection.
For children navigating trauma or adoption-related experiences, Elizabeth believes healing begins with safety, consistency, and the freedom to explore difficult stories. Through this process, parents are supported in learning how to hold and bear these stories alongside their child—creating space for deeper connection, resilience, and lasting change.
In the early years of her clinical practice as a therapist, Elizabeth noticed the concerns many parents were sharing about young children and the lack of available therapeutic care. Elizabeth sought additional training to fill this gap by attending and completing a 2-year postgraduate clinical practice certificate from the Harris Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Training Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in 2017.
