At Storytellers, we believe that every child is a unique individual with their own story to tell. Our approach to child therapy is centered on:
In the early years of her clinical practice as a therapist, Elizabeth noticed the concerns many parents were sharing about young children and the lack of available therapeutic care. Elizabeth sought additional training to fill this gap by attending and completing a 2-year postgraduate clinical practice certificate from the Harris Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Training Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in 2017.
Relational based therapy that focuses on the quality of connection between the caregiver and child.
Therapy for the whole family to work towards healthy communication and understanding. Family therapy with infants and young children involved will also include play, books, and art.
Families who attend therapy services regularly but also desire appointments without their child present to build skills and understanding that support their child's growth.
Therapy for children ages birth through 5 years.
Helps families heal following stressful life experiences.
Utilizing sand in a box and small objects that represent the world around us to explore complex concepts and stories. This modality is another way to help young children explore difficult concepts and big feelings.
Caring for children can be complex and challenging. We all want to do our best to set our children up to be the healthiest versions of themselves that they can be. However, with so many conflicting messages provided through books and online material, it can be difficult for caregivers and parents to decide what steps they want to take. In providing this service Elizabeth’s goal is to meet you where you are at and help you identify caregiving/parenting skills to utilize that validate your cultural identification and family goals.
This service is provided both in the office and via HIPAA-secured Telehealth.
This service is not available to therapy clients.
Consultation services do not qualify for insurance reimbursement. See our Rates and Insurance page for more information.
